About the 109th Brigade

Our brigade is a combat unit of Ukraine’s Territorial Defense Forces based in the Donetsk region. Founded in 2018, it was created to strengthen the region’s defenses and stand ready to protect Ukraine.

We are experienced fighters who have proven our courage, determination, and combat effectiveness in battles across northern, eastern, and southern Ukraine.
Our fighters distinguished themselves in the battle for Mariupol and in the brutal urban fighting in Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Ocheretyne.
We are part of Ukraine’s Territorial Defense Forces, taking part in both defensive and offensive operations.
We guarantee the enemy a hot welcome on the hottest fronts of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Relentless against the occupiers, we value the life and well-being of every one of our brothers and sisters in arms above all else.
